Sisters disciples of Jesus in the Eucharist
The congregation of the sisters Disciples of Jesus in the Eucharist is an international Congregation of pontifical right and apostolic life founded in the Diocese of Tricarico on October 4, 1923 in the Southern Italy by Raffaello Delle Nocche bishop of this Diocese, Solicited by the urgent needs of this region which is among the poorest regions of southern Italy.
The charism and the mission of the sisters Disciples of Jesus in the Eucharist in the church are:
- Perpetual Adoration of Jesus in the Holy Eucharist;
- The repair of offenses that are made in the Sacrament of his love;
- The assiduous prayer addressed to the Father to send workers to harvest and so that his Reign arrives sooner in all places of the earth. To the love for Eucharist the Disciples unite a subsidiary devotion to the blessed Virgin, venerated under the title of Mother of sorrows.
This charism is lived in simple, humble, joyful lifestyle, preferably in the most disadvantaged environment. They have those activities: Catechesis and other forms of evangelization, the education of children and youth; the care of the sick poor and other relief of Christian charity.
Today the Congregation is present in Italy, Brazil, Rwanda, Mozambique, Philippines, Indonesia, Timor lest and Vietnam. The sisters Disciples of Jesus in the Eucharist arrived in Rwanda in 1975 actually they have tree communities: Kicukiro (kigali), kigarama ( Rwamagana), kibeho ( Nyaruguru), Nyiragiseke (Bugesera).
Conditions of admission:
- To be Christian and to fell called.
- To have good health and sufficient maturity.
- To be free from any obligation towards the family.
- To be between 18 and 27 years old.
- To have completed high school and having a diploma.
- To be ready to leave his country to live in an international community.
- After studies have been in service for at least one year.
