Kibeho: Pilgrimage of the directors of Radio Maria
The directors of Radio Maria in Africa made a pilgrimage to the place of the apparitions of the Mother of the Word in Kibeho, in the district of Nyaruguru, to draw from the source the message to be transmitted through their media.
After their congress held in Kigali from 14 to 16 February, the directors and presidents of Radio Maria in Africa made a pilgrimage to Kibeho. For the interviewees, the Mother of the Word transmitted a message of simplicity through the apparitions.
“The Blessed Mother showed us this image of a spiritual creature who shows herself in simplicity. She does not scare,” said Father Mathieu Lay, director of Radio Maria France.
“She is a mother who comes to seek in us the heart of the simple child, who is not complicated in his head,” continues Father Mathieu.
He says that once he returns home, he will carry this message to the French people. “I hope that this message of simplicity of the Mother of the Word will be understood in France,” he concluded.
Me Janot Bukoko, national president of Radio Marie in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), said he was moved by the spirituality he found in the Holy Land of Kibeho.
“This is my first time to come at Kibeho in Rwanda, which has welcomed Heaven through Marian apparitions. It is an emotional environment, filled with much spirituality. I had the opportunity to savor the message of deep conversion and humility delivered by the Mother of the Word here,” said the Congolese pilgrim.
“A message that coincides with all the realities like wars and difficulties. We must convert while there is still time. We, members of Radio Maria, the Blessed Mother exhorts us to be spiritual watering cans for all people. We are going to transmit this message of simplicity to our compatriots in our evangelization through the Mother of the Word”, decides Janot Bukolo.
According to Jean Paul Kayihura, director of programs of all Radio Maria in Africa, since 2018, the annual pan-African congress of directors and presidents of Radio Maria in Africa, is held annually in Kigali. At the end of their meeting, the participants make a spiritual visit to Kibeho to honor the coming of the Mother of the Word on this Holy Land of Kibeho.
The congress which is ending this year was attended by delegations from France, Great Britain and Italy.
Today, there are 27 Radio Maria stations throughout Africa and more than 80 throughout the world.
